CTT launches new application with digital queue ticket and renovates shipping and payment functionalities

CTT - Correios de Portugal launches today a new application (APP), more intuitive and with several new functionalities, namely the creation of the Digital Queue Ticket for physical outlets, the change of the delivery location or the payment of tolls due.
This new application introduces the Digital Queue Ticket option: should the client wish to go to a CTT Post Office, the APP will tell him/her which are the closest post offices that have this functionality and how many people are in front of him/her. You may withdraw a ticket before arriving at the store, avoiding queues at the location.
Changing the delivery location and tracking the status of the order at any time, wherever the customer may be, are features that are particularly relevant.
The new application brings an improvement to the most commonly used functions by CTT customers: an integrated view of all shipments, real-time monitoring of CTT's parcels and those of other operators or distributors, creating shipments and changing the delivery location, selecting their preferred addresses, including Locky lockers, among other options. Thus, wherever the customer is, he can access CTT's services.
APP CTT also ensures the automatic sending of notifications about changes in the status of your shipments and tolls due, with the possibility of guaranteeing the payment.
According to João Sousa, CTT's Director, "with this new application, CTT once again puts the customer's needs first, reinforcing the simplicity and convenience of the company's offer with simpler accessibility to the most used services. It is also another step in the Company's digital transformation, keeping up with best practices and the demands of increasingly technological consumers".
The main advantages of this new application include simplified registration, in which the process is much simpler, with a reduced set of fields (name, email and cell phone), as well as through Facebook or Apple account authentication; profile data management, with the possibility of consulting and editing data associated with the customer profile, adding addresses and Locky lockers to receive orders and license plates to consult tolls due; detailed information on shipments, which is available for consultation at any time; and the possibility of knowing which delivery changes can be applied.
The new features available for shipments allow you to view active shipments with their updated status in tracking or story format; view the entire history of shipments; make delivery changes to shipments even after they have been delivered to the carrier and even create Registered Mail and Express shipments. As for payments, it is possible to make them in the application to make online shipments, change the delivery of these shipments, and even pay tolls. Notifications indicate which tolls are unpaid and the update of the most important status of your shipments.
The new app is already available for iOS and Android operating systems and can be downloaded from the corresponding stores.
